I have been married for over four years of life. I have been feeling that although both of us live in the same house and sleep in the same bed, the essence of love is missing. The feeling is both mutual as both of us know there is something in wrong but no one wants to admit the fact that the other person is wrong. It has been almost two years that we have had a kid she is a cute chatter box that can keep you busy all day and all night. We named our child “Tanya”.
The problem that I feel that hamper in my relation
is that since I work almost 10 hours a day to
support my family and my self. I am most certainly
flustered and hyped by the time I get home. So
home problems such as Tanya did this or she did
that or the bills have to be paid and things like
that make’s me want to shout and go to my
bedroom and stay there till all of them have gone
to sleep.

Thinking from my wife’s perspective well there is a lot of house work to be done such as pick up after a messy husband. Which is the equivalent of looking after two children the morning seems to be a rush. Make breakfast for me and the kid. Take Tanya for day school get back home clean the house and cook lunch. Pick Tanya back from school play with her for a little while whew! That sounds like one hell of a nine to five job.
One Sunday we just blew up at each other and after some time of letting both of us cool down we went for a walk. She explained to me that my absence in the home does make a difference in Tanya’s life. Coming back home late shouting at something small that gets me ticked off.
I then explained my side that I work 10 hours a day to earn as much so that my wife and my child can lead a very healthy and trouble free life. I agreed on her part that yes that I was wrong and that I should try and help around the house instead of coming back and making a noise of it.
She then further explained that although she does not go to any formal place of work but the house problems are more than enough and require as much as brainwork and attention as any other job would require. Cleaning the house and to cook lunch was something that is not easy to do. To keep our ever energetic child out of the way is something of a real challenge.
We then came up to the conclusion that was mutually agreeable to both of us. We decided that we should find sometime to go for parties and social gathering’s that we used to never do before. In this way it would be great to go and do something that would take some of our problems away. |
